Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS)

The OLEV Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme grant allows you to reduce the cost of your charge point and installation costs by up to £350.

  • Electric vehicle home charging points are available for the majority of EV’s and plug-in hybred vehicles, whether new or old.
  • You can claim one charge point per vehicle and for up to 2 vehicvles per household.
  • An additional grant of up to £300 is available to Scottish residents through the Entergy Savings Trust Scotland

Who is Eligable for the Grant

To qualify for the OLEV grant, you will have had to purchase and electric vehicle on or after the 1st October 2016 or have leased a plug in vehicle for at least six months and meet the following criteria:

 

  • You must have off-street parking.
  • You must install an OLEV approved charge point.
  • You have not already claimed the grant for your vehicle.
  • You must use an OLEV approved charge point installer like PCS Ltd.
  • You are not exceeding the limit of two OLEV funded charge points per household.

What EV’s Are Eligable for the OLEV Grant

All fully electric vehicles are eligable for the grant, but unfortunately not all plug-in hybrid vehicles are. Your plug-in hybrid vehicles CO² emmissions must be below 50g/km to qualify.

How do I apply for the OLEV Government Grant?

To claim the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme grant of up to £350 off your charge point unit and installation you will simply need to answer a few questions, which one of our friendly team will send to you via an online form.

Once you have complete the form we will send it to the Office for Low Emmissions Vehicles, (OLEV), for approval.

The Workplace Charging Scheme

The workplace charging scheme, (WCS), is a grant that businesses can use to reduce the cost of installing electric vehicle charge points by up to £14,000.

 

  • The WCS grant is up to £350 per charge point socket up to a maximum of 40 sockets per business.
  • The WCS is available to any business, charity or public authority.
  • The grant is provided by the Governent Office for Low Emissions Vehicles.
  • You cannot claim for any existing charge points.

How does My Business qualify for the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS)?

The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is available to any business, charity or public authority as long as you meet the following:

 

  • You must have off-street parking.
  • You must install an OLEV-approved charge point.
  • While you do not need to currently have electric vehicles as part of your fleet, you will need to express an existing or future need for the business.
  • You must have the charge point station installed by an OLEV-approved workplace charge point installer like PCS Ltd.

How Do I Apply For The WCS Grant?

To claim the Electric Vehicle Workplace Scheme grant of up to £350 off per charge point and installation up to 4o units, you will just simply need to answer a few questions, which our one of our friendly team will send you via online form.

The WCS is a voucher based system. We will send your application to the OLEV and once approved you will be emailed a voucher code which then can be used by the installer to claim the grant after the installation is completed.
